the last of summer...

So i'm just a couple of months behind :-)

Way back in August, we were lucky enough to get to spend the weekend with Eric's extended family (Susan's side) at a river house in Granbury, we all had a great time and here are a few of the pictures i took that weekend, i was kicking myself because i forgot my big camera and had to use Eric's little one, but they came out okay.

My kids adore Susan's sisters, Kay and Linda and always look forward to seeing them

Papa may kill me for posting this photo but all the ones with Easton paddle boarding are with him in it, and besides, he's a buff grandpa :)

Towards the end of the summer we had my niece Ashlynn come visit us, which is like a dream come true for my girls, there are a few Bundy's thrown in this photo, they were all enjoying a movie on my bed

My big girl went off to Kindergarten this year, it was happy/sad... its hard getting back in the swing of a school schedule, but she loves it and we are surviving!

We took the whole crew (5 of us) on that first day and it was crazy... i won't tell the whole story of that morning but i'll just say it ended with Eric leaving for work, me walking a block to my car with the other two, then realizing i left my keys in Ayelan's classroom, Easton deciding he WILL NOT walk another step, finally getting back inside, Auburn puking all over the hall, Easton screaming, someone else going and searching for keys and the superintendent trying to offer Auburn his beautiful suit coat because i've stripped her (throw up was all over her) in the hallway. When we finally got all of us back in the car i just sat there and stared out the window.

After i got over the trauma of that first day we've been good, i even managed to get Ayelan some 6 year old photos taken, here are a few (and just in time too, she lost her two front teeth tonight!)

At the beginning of September we went to see our wonderful Spencer friends in Paris, we always love seeing them and their sweet children

...Easton loved the water, but wasn't so much a fan when his foot touched seaweed, he called it the tickle-me monster, not that i didn't sympathize with the little guy, because i agree, but it was hilarious.

and lastly... yes ladies, i married Batman, whose best friend is the Hulk

Eric and Nate were asked to dress up as Batman and Hulk for our last "Party at the Palace" (for those of you not in Childress, its a little monthly festival'ish night downtown at the "Palace Theater" where there is stuff to eat and they project a movie on the wall outside) since the theme was superheros.

he had a little follower that never left his side, even after taking off the mask and stuff, it was so cute
