Hot Summer

Eric and I were lucky enough to puchase some land about a month ago and have been hanging around our future homestead just goofing off.  On this day we fished out all the spiders (and by we i mean Eric) and took the little canoe out in the tank... the kids loved it, we also picnicked out there, but i'm too busy eating to take pictures :)

whhhhhhhhhh, woooooo (that's me whistling)

Then we took a little trip over to the Quartz Mountain Lodge for a few days and tried to do activities in the incredibly hot sun... we're not very bright :), here we are paddle boating (and once again by "we" i mean Eric)

...cooling off with snow cones

and then, we weren't quite sweating enough so we decided to play putt-putt... all the kids quit and left eric and i to finish

we did do quite a bit of swimming and had a pretty good time... but the next time i go to the Lodge it will be in the winter :)

this was the day we got back... Easton cooked us up some dinner, I think he looks so pretty in these colors!

The girls are my true little chefs, they sit on the counters every night (since i'm a fabulous wife that cooks elaborate meals every single night all year long :) and help me with dinner

i don't know why he was in leg warmers cleaning the chair (with a wetwipe) on the bed, in pink flip-flops, i just took a photo of it

...to his credit Auburn also had on a leotard, so she could of had something to do with that.

OH the 4th of July, we did actually have a really great show in the park and shoot off some bigger fire crackers on that previous piece of land with a tank, but all i got pictures of was the sparklers in the back yard

... that Auburn was TERRIFIED of, notice on the previous pictures how far away she is.  right before she made this lovely face and sound, Easton decide to run at her with his sparkler, oh the fun of having a little brother

I woke up to this scene the other morning... she was digging holes in the back yard in her elaborate little mermaid nightgown, she's worse than a dog!

This is the day before Ayelan's birthday (and party) and we were making rainbow cupcakes, that's the batter, not the icing :)

... we played Twister, and other stuff i didn't photograph

then wished my big girl a happy 6th birthday :) (i did fix her hair at some point during the day)

the kids got to decorate their own cupcakes (which i highly suggest NOT doing in your own home), or if your Auburn, just eat the frosting off and then throw away your beautiful rainbow cupcake, i may of growled at her

I need everyone to appreciate these cupcakes, ooooo and awwwww. they weren't hard, but very time consuming.

and finally this past weekend was the "Old Settler's" celebration and parade and here are my kids, eric and my nephew Brandt about to get candy. whoooohoooo!!

then Saturday i snapped these photos of eric and the kids going on a bike ride

... yes Easton is sitting on a towel, i guess we need to invest in a wagon or something, naaaa he's the third kid

yep, our 6 year old is still on training wheels, not because she wants to be, her parents are just lazy :)

Wow, that tank looks like some serious fun. I didn't know a place like that existed out here! You may have to consider selling us a piece of it!! We would be really nice neighbors! :)
