Summer Vacations

Eric and i were lucky enough to go on two family vacations this summer. the first was a cruise to the Bahamas with my family and the second a trip to Pagosa Springs, CO with his family.  Below is a book i made of the cruise vacation (because the chances of it happening again are low) and i'm being lazy and posting it instead of photos :) Click, "Full Screen" for a better picture, and then there are some pictures from Pagosa.

On our way to Pagosa...
Easton thinks he can conquer anything.

playing with dad. i took these through the car window so they may be a little fuzzy.

In Pagosa, this was our view from the balcony, the highs, if they were reached, were low 80's

we spent alot of time out there, in fact Easton wanted to live out there, litterly.

waiting to ride the pony (a gimic to get us to go to the activity center, it worked)

Ayelan was the only one that participated

mimi and the kids, Auburn isn't in this photo because she, like eariler, wasn't participating this evening.  If i need to make that clearer, she was being a little T-U-R-D, not uncommon with her.

we got a smile out of her by tickling her, eric' ruthless with this tactic, he has no mercy because he isn't ticklish and doesn't understand.

leaving us, because of that tickling incident.

What did we do? we watched sunsets on the balcony...

...went to classes, this was a craft class for kids. i went to a watercolor painting class that i really liked.

Susan's mother Sue, aka: Grand-Mimi, went with us and she is such a good Grand-Mimi, she read books, she played games, she hiked, she was such a trooper and always ready to play.

...we had spaghetti this night and this is the modest version of this photo, the other is much funnier because somehow easton got noodles haning off...himself :)

...we went hiking

we took turns holding this little guy

then we had a picnic lunch

another class, Cookie Decorating

yum. don't you want a bite?

...we grilled out

me and east watching

we woke up to this out our windows one morning, we weren't riding on it, but it was neat to watch it touch the water

there were several of them

...we feed the geese, they (the ducks) were intense, they don't play around with bread

and we bathed kids, and we ate alot of good food (thank you Susan) and we played games at night during the blessed peace of children sleeping :)

thank you to both our families for hauling us around on these vacations and putting up with the craziness of three small children!

I love your shutterfly book of the cruise! It looks like tons of fun. You are so good to stay on top of posting all your pictures. Looks like a great summer full of family and vacations! I love how silly your cute kids are!
