Star Attraction and Whistler Trip

At Mrs. Angie's Preschool all the kids have a set date to have a "Star Attraction" where everything thing is about them, their family comes and we talk about Ayelan's favorite stuff, eat her favorite snack and so on for about 20 minutes. Anyway, Ayelan's was this last week and here are a few snap shots from it. And, of course, i forgot my camera so i had to use the one i keep in my purse (for such forgetfulness) and the screen was foggy from being left in the car over night :) OH and it also happen to be pajama day where they learned about bear's in hibernation, so thats why they all have on their pj's.

this is such a goofy look from her, i wish the screen wasn't foggy.

here we are talking about all her favorites from a poster that she and i made (for the occasion)

Auburn just runs around trying to steal all the baby dolls, and the little thief nearly made it to the car with a little one

my mom is going to kill me for putting this picture in here of her, but it was just so cute of Ayelan, and its her own fault, she never lets me take pictures of her so i'm forced to use funky ones when i get them!

The rest of the pictures are from our trip to Whistler, CA a week ago. Auburn stayed here in Childress with my mom, bless her heart (my mom that is, Auburn's a handful), and Ayelan went with us. She was so good, Eric and i are just amazed at how much maturity takes place in the third year, don't get me wrong, she still has her moments, but soooo much easier than her sister. Here we are on the plane.

throwing rocks with Jessica and Claire, while we wait for the rental car

Here we are on our way down into Whistler village. actually most of these photos are taken by Susan, because once again, i would forget my camera

Vancouver/Whistler is hosting the Olympics in a few weeks so we were blessed by all their hard work preparing, there were lights in most all of the trees, which was really pretty since the sun sets at this time of year at 4:15! it was completely dark before 5:00. really weird.

the Olympic store in Whistler village, soon to be the Olympic village. cute, cute town.

kinda blury, but of course the "little poser" is in action

this picture looks funny to me, not sure why, its just another goofy one

Ayelan didn't get to ski (Whistler instructors should be thanking us for that) but she did get to do alot of sliding on her bottom, here we are one day playing in the snow.

Susan would push her and off she'd go.

We spent our last day back in Vancouver, here we are at their Children's Science Museum, it was great place. as you can see, it was pretty much cloudy and rainy the whole time we were there. it snowed like 15 inches the day we left, go figure.

and finaly, the lights of Vancouver. from what we saw of Canada it is a very clean country with friendly people, it will make watching the Olympics a little bit neater for us this year.

What a fun idea for Ayelan's class. I bet she LOVED it! Your trip to Canada looks beautiful! My dad went hunting in Canada in December and said it was really pretty up there!
