2 Birthday Parties & Red River

So it catch up time again, and we are all doing good, i can't believe summer's almost over, its flown by. i think having Auburn made it go by faster. Both girls had their check ups this month. Auburn had her two month check up weighing in at 13.5 lbs and 24 inches (although i know she's big, she seems small to us because at this same age Ayelan was nearly 2 pounds heaver). and Ayelan had her 2 year check up weighing in at 28 lbs and 35 inches. Auburn is a good baby thank heavens because Ayelan is a full blown 2 year old and she acts just like one, a little angel one minute and a little vermin the next.

Ayelan is starting speech therapy this next week through a school program, i guess i need to explain this. I never posted it, but several months ago we had tubes put in Ayelan's ears because of constant ear infections and she had very limited hearing, the ENT said that our words sounded to her like she was at the bottom of a well. anyway, she did good with the surgery but her speaking is about 6 months delayed (as it was recently evaluated). so we are starting therapy for a few months, the therapists seem to think she will pick it up quickly once they start, and its in our home so thats nice.

Below are pictures of her birthday party we had on the 19, yes, i'm really late. it was a Minney Mouse theme and we had banana splits, and of course, Ayelan didn't want anything to do with her dessert, we are 0 for 2 in eating your birthday dessert, but she had a great time.

here she is with her friend Jaxon opening up the hit toy of the night, a cash register, from him.
the Memes' holding Aurburn
one of Meme's gifts was this baseball bat, and much to Eric's shame, this is how she insists on holding and swinging it, by the fat end :)
her Lulu's gift (my mom), this car's garage happens to be the middle of our living room, apparently its great for TV watching
she was way to distracted to ever really smile for me to get a good photo, except this one time and her mouth happen to be full of M & M's, go figure.

getting a little help from GreatMeme, mine and Eric's present is in the background, its a little play house for her and Auburn (it was Auburn's birthday present too, she loved it)
yeah, so we also had a donkey pinata, whatever
The next few pictures are our trip to Red River. We had a great time and learned two things on the 6 hour trip: 1.) Ayelan has motion sickness and usualy coughs 2 seconds before she throws up, this was learned several times 2.) Auburn hates her car seat, and has still not made peace with the seat.

Ayelan's new smile, this one's kinda cute, usualy its much harsher than this
for those of you that know my child, you know that THIS does not happen, so i had to take a picture, the first time she ever surendered to sleep in the stroller
Eric joining her in the over-the-top smile, rarely can i catch her with a more natural looking one
like this

Our second birthday party to go to was the girls other Great Meme (Dee's mom). She and Ayelan had some good cuddle time, she just went right up to her and did this, we were all just stareing at each other.

the big kids went to the park, so Auburn made some phone calls and did a little texting.

here are all the great grankids.
right in front of Ayelan is Matthew and Jessica's little girl, Claire, a little mini Matthew, she's so cute.

Auburn's a tooper when it comes to Ayelan's loveing
poor baby gets it all day long :)

Little Red Sox fan with big eyes, Auburn

Little Red Sox fan with squinty eyes, Ayelan
once again, Auburn's favorite sleeping position, and yes she sleeps on her tummy at night, shhhhh! and she still has a bald spot!! whats that about!
